The State National Life Building, formerly known as the Reymond Building, has been a landmark in downtown Baton Rouge since it was constructed in 1916. It was one of the first three major office buildings in the area and served as the home to Dalton’s Department Store for more than half a century. The 7-story, roughly 40k SF tower has sat mostly vacant for the last decade. Phase 1 of the project aims to bring it back into productive use with a total gut and renovation of the interior, including 60 residential units, new lobby, elevators, and mid-level terrace.
